The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, 88 Dalhousie Street, Brantford, presents George Canyon. "Better Be Home Soon" is his latest and fastest selling album to date picking up a Gold Record within three weeks of its release in March 2011. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, George Canyon got his first taste of international fame and music industry attention after competing in USA Network’s televised "Nashville Star" in 2004.

The Guitar Society of Brantford presents "Girls' Night Out" with Eva Beneke, Emma Rush, and Tracy Anne Smith. These three award winning female guitarists met ten years ago at a guitar symposium in Germany. They met again last summer at the same festival and the concept for a concert together was born. The "Girls' Night Out" program includes music from the traditional repertoire, such as Bach, Granados and Rodrigo as well as contemporary works, South American music and Eva's own compositions. This event is at the Kun Performance Centre - Laurier Brantford, 150 Dalhousie Street, Brantford.

The Eastman School of Music presents the Eastman Philharmonia, Brad Lubman, conductor. The program is highlighted by a 100th anniversary performance of Igor Stravinsky's "Le Sacre du Printemps" ("The Rite of Spring"). Also represented are Legeti and Messiaen with Yunjin Kim, soprano.
Third and fourth year undergraduates and graduate students play in the Eastman Philharmonia.
The venue for this presentation is the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 60 Gibbs Street, Rochester, New York.

The Georgetown Bach Chorale presents piano virtuoso Ron Greidanus. Mr. Greidanus offers a piano recital that reflects the pensive side of the winter season. Medtner and Rachmaninoff will be the featured portraits offered on this programme of pianistic silhouettes. Following this recital, guests can enjoy warm soups, fine cheeses and freshly baked bread. "Share the Music" program at Roy Thomson Hall/ Massey Hall inspires and enriches underserved youth by opening the doors to world-class artists and music.
Exposing children and teenagers to the finest artists in the world - not only seeing and hearing them perform, but meeting them and talking with them as well - is one of the most important experiences any young person can have. Share the Music provides free tickets for children ages 8-18 to concerts at Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall by world-calibre artists. We need your help! Donate now to help a child take a seat and receive a charitable tax receipt.

The Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, 88 Dalhousie St., Brantford, presents "Rhythm of the Dance". This two-hour dance and music extravaganza contains a wealth of talent derived from all areas of Irish life, including three tenors and a seanos dancer, up to date stage technology and rich costumes. The show is an inspiring epic, reliving the journey of the Irish Celts throughout history. Using the traditional and modern arts of dance (ballet, modern dance, jazz) and music, this richly costumed show marries the contemporary and the ancient.

Massey Hall presents Whitehorse featuring Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet with special guest Amelia Curran. The venue for this event is at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre, 189 Yonge St., Toronto. Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet have officially tied the musical knot as a newly formed duo act, carrying on the fine tradition of husband-and-wife artistic marriages much like Cash and Carter or Welch and Rawlings. Their live show highlights each performer's impressive solo material in addition to new co-written songs.

The Bach Elgar Choir, Alexander Cann, Artistic Director presents "Light Opera Choruses Gala" at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Anshe Sholom, 215 Cline Avenue North, Hamilton. Join us as we celebrate with a true feast for the senses: Light opera choruses paired with wine and hors d'oeuvres. This programme features three extraordinary soloists: Charlene Santoni, soprano; Keith Klassen, tenor; and Alexander Dobson, baritone. Works by Strauss, Sullivan, Rossini, and Donizetti are set for this event.

The all-Brahms programme: Violin Concerto in D major with Ye-Eun Choi, soloist and Symphony No. 2 in D major with Marco Parisotto, conductor. Ye-Eun Choi is one of the most promising violin talents to emerge on the world stage today. Since her 2009 debut with the New York Philharmonic under Alan Gilbert, she has performed with many prominent orchestras (Dresden Philharmonic, Montreal, NHK and Pittsburgh Symphonies...).

The Eastman School of Music presents a "Baroque Organ Showcase" at the Memorial Art Gallery, 500 University Ave, Rochester, New York. Organ faculty from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen, will perform an hour-long concert on the Italian Baroque organ.

This will mark Ms. Choi's debut performance in Toronto.

The second in St. Jude's Celebration of the Arts concerts for its 21st Season takes place at St. Jude`s Church, 160 William Street, Oakville.
The Schumann Letters, written by and starring Gemini and Juno award-winning Colin Fox as narrator, with Susan Gilmour Bailey, soprano, and Michael Kim, piano, is a perennial favourite never before performed in Oakville - A real life True Romance told in love letters and song.
